Kara Ault is a strategic advisor specializing in disability services systems development, accreditation readiness, and public funding compliance across DODD, Medicaid, and OOD frameworks.

With nearly a decade of senior leadership experience at Abilities in Action LLC, Kara has led the design and oversight of transition-age and employment service models serving youth and adults across multiple Ohio counties. Her work integrates measurable employment outcomes, fiscal accountability, and regulatory alignment within Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), Medicaid, and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) funding structures.

Kara has supported competitive grant development, funding strategy alignment, and post-award compliance oversight. She partners with executive leadership teams to structure proposals around outcome-driven service models while ensuring adherence to reporting standards, performance benchmarks, and long-term sustainability requirements.

As a CARF Surveyor, Kara evaluates organizations nationwide for accreditation compliance, governance effectiveness, quality assurance systems, and performance improvement infrastructure. This experience provides advanced expertise in risk mitigation, documentation integrity, policy alignment, and survey readiness under CARF and state regulatory standards.

She is a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) and a Certified Benefits Analyst through Cornell University, with additional certification in Youth Transition Planning.
